Adapted Optics

On the possibilities of imaging & optical experiments

When it comes to my enjoyment of using old lenses on modern digital cameras, I take it one step further and also enjoy adapting optical devices for imaging purposes. Sometimes, these devices weren’t ever meant to be stuck in front of a camera, let alone a shiny new digital camera from the 21st century ! Such adapted optics include slide projector lenses (from slide projectors), movie camera lenses (like the Lumax from the old Bell & Howell range of film movie cameras), antiques from the early days of photography (when I can get hold of them), bits of plastic and glass, and home made and DIY lenses. You’ll also find a bit of freelensing here too.
